Empowering Women, Transforming Communities:
Grassroot Women and Politics is a registered Community Based Organization championing women's rights and led by women in Ndhiwa Constituency, Kenya. The organization, established in September 2021, mainly addresses the persistent gaps in women's participation in decision-making processes.

A movement for Women by Women
We aim to raise the political awareness of women and encourage them to participate in the electoral and decision-making processes. Our programs include voter education, political processes, civic education, and leadership training.
We believe that economic empowerment is key to achieving gender equality, inclusivity, diversity and justice. Our programs focus on providing women with the skills and resources they need to start and grow their businesses, access credit and financial services, and improve their livelihoods.
We recognize the importance of sexual and reproductive health in achieving gender equality, diversity, inclusion and justice. Our programs focus on increasing access to sexual and reproductive health services, education, and information for women.
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a serious problem that affects women and girls worldwide. It encompasses a wide range of harmful behaviours and practices, including physical, sexual, and psychological abuse. Our program on Gender-Based Violence aims to raise awareness about the issue, provide support and services to survivors, and work with communities to prevent and address GBV. We also work with community leaders and law enforcement to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
Conflict and violence can have a devastating impact on communities, particularly on women and children. Our program on Peace and Conflict Resolution works to promote peaceful coexistence and resolve conflicts in a non-violent manner. We provide mediation and negotiation services, as well as training in conflict resolution and peacebuilding for community leaders and members. We also work with local authorities to support their efforts in maintaining peace and security in the community.
